Job Overview: The client is seeking an experienced, discreet, and service-oriented full-time Live-In Estate & Household Manager (Butler) to oversee the daily operations and care of a private 5,000 sq. ft. residence in Kahala, Oahu. This individual will embody the highest standards of white-glove service, ensuring the estate is impeccably maintained, organized, and guest-ready at all times.
The Estate Manager will reside in a newly renovated one-bedroom cottage on the property and serve as the primary on-site representative of the principals, responsible for the oversight, upkeep, and presentation of the home. Core duties include household readiness, light maintenance, meal preparation and service, and personalized support to the owners during their stays. The role requires a professional who anticipates needs, manages all aspects of estate operations with discretion, and provides a seamless, luxury-level experience.
The principals are typically on-island approximately 25% of the year, during which time the Estate Manager will provide hands-on, hospitality-driven service and ensure every detail of the household runs with precision and grace.

- Must not have another job or conflicting work obligations
- Able to live on the property full-time
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of organization and service
- Basic handyman skills and troubleshooting ability
- Ability to cook and prepare meals at the owner's request
- Willingness to perform laundry and make up linens when owners are on property
- Trustworthy, discreet, and respectful of privacy
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Physically capable of performing light manual tasks
Additional Job Details:
- Owners are on island approximately 25% of the year. During those times, working hours will vary and may be extended, including weekends
- When owners are off-island, schedule is more flexible, with a focus on vendor coordination and general upkeep unless an emergency arises
- Main house is not to be accessed while owners are off-island, unless in emergency situations with prior notice given to the owners
- Pool use is permitted when owners are not on-site, pending waiver of liability. Up to 2 guests allowed at a time
- No pets allowed
- Familiarity with Hawaiian culture, local customs, and the island's geography is highly valued and will support success in this role, particularly in understanding community expectations, communicating with local vendors, and showing cultural respect and sensitivity in all aspects of estate management
